Scottie Pippen made an absolutely bonkers claim about his former teammate Michael Jordan in his new book.
The retired Chicago Bulls forward has been generating a ton of press attention as he promotes his new book “Unguarded,” and a claim about Jordan’s attitude and behavior is downright insane. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)
Pippen wrote the following in his book about Chicago’s success and Jordan’s role, according to CBS Sports:
Michael was wrong. We didn’t win six championships because he got on guys. We won in spite of his getting on guys. We won because we played team basketball, which hadn’t been the case my first two seasons, when Doug Collins was our coach. That’s what was special about playing for the Bulls: the camaraderie we established with one another, not that we felt blessed to be on the same team with the immortal Michael Jordan.
It’s amazing how Pippen has absolutely tarnished his legacy and reputation since “The Last Dance” came out.
A few years ago, Pippen was a beloved NBA legend recognized for his role in helping the Bulls win six titles with Michael Jordan.
Now, he continues to say and do stupid things.
DP: “.. By saying it was a racial move then you’re calling Phil Jackson a racist…”
Pippen: “I don’t have a problem with that.”
DP: “Do you think Phil was?”
Pippen: “Oh yeah…”

Does he really believe that the Bulls “won in spite” of arguably the greatest NBA player ever? That’s the definition of a galaxy brain take.
Michael Jordan pushed his teammates to be better and the results are obvious. Jordan won six rings and he took Pippen with him.
How the hell does his former teammate seem to hate him so much?
If this doesn’t motivate you to be great, I don’t know what will. “Winning has a price, leadership has a price… ‘The one thing about Michael Jordan was he never asked me to do something that he didn’t ****ing do.” pic.twitter.com/sEt4eE9nTz

Pippen really needs to relax and dial back the insane claims about Jordan. They won a bunch of titles decades ago, their lives have moved forward and it’s time to leave beefs in the past.
