Geena Davis said Bill Murray used to force massages on her during a Friday interview on ABC News Live.
She was on the show to promote her new book “Dying of Politeness: A Memoir” and was asked about a portion of the contents that included alleged abusive behavior from Murray who she co-starred with in the 1989 movie “Quick Change.”
“Before he would let me audition or talk about the role or anything, I had to let him put this massager — I had to lay down on a bed in the hotel suite, and let him put this massager on my back.” Davis said.
Davis described those moments with Murray as unavoidable, and expressed that they were situations she didn’t feel she could escape.
“And he was so insistent about it that I knew I would never be able to leave the room unless I went crazy,” Davis said to ABC News.
“I found out later it was because I had just won an Oscar and he thought, ‘I’m not gonna cast her unless I know she’s not gonna think she’s all that,'” Davis said.

Davis described other techniques Murray used to gain power over her and instill fear.
“And when I got the role, the first day of shooting he went crazy and screamed at me in front of hundreds of people,” David said before going on to reveal that he did that to several other people as well. “That’s his way of intimidating people and making them afraid of him, and then they won’t challenge him I guess is the idea,” she said.
