Man, the media really does feed you nonsense.
So today as I was writing and flipping through the sports channels on TV to find something to listen to, I stopped on FS1 during “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd. Sometime during the broadcast, he discussed Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and who was the better between the two ahead of the Dolphins-Chargers Sunday Night Football game Dec. 11.

Me being a Miami Dolphins fan and knowing Colin Cowherd is a biased Los Angeles homer listening to him for years now, it irritated me, and this isn’t the first time that I’ve heard this nonsense.
Then later on when I was looking through stories to write about, I came across this little gem:

Not Tua Tagovailoa, but Justin Herbert has the second most losses since 2020.
So let me get this straight: Colin Cowherd, South Florida Sun Sentinel’s Dave Hyde, and the guys he surveyed who are former Miami Dolphins head coach Jimmie Johnson, former Miami Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller, and three other NFL executives all believe that Herbert is better?
Okay, first off: What the hell kind of Miamians are Jimmie, Randy and Dave?
What a disgrace to the 305.
Second, are these guys aware of this little stat?
You know, how it shows that Herbert is a big fat loser.
Since the debate is on, give me Tua Tagovailoa.
My guy is a college football national champion (that ring is blingin’) and was on the verge of winning the NFL MVP this season before that catastrophic game against the San Francisco 49ers, which I just want to point out was the first loss that Tua suffered this season as the full-game starter — not bad here in Week 14 out of 18. On top of that, he still has Miami in the hunt for a Super Bowl. (RELATED: Atlanta Falcons Bench Veteran QB Marcus Mariota)
I don’t see Justin Herbert doing any of that — just having the second most losses in the entire NFL since 2020.
Just look at their records this season: Tua is 8-1 as a starter with his Dolphins at 8-4, while Justin has his Chargers at a .500 6-6.
Herbert over Tua?
Ha! Give me a break. At the end of the day, it’s about winning games, and Tua is doing a lot more of that than Justin.
Women lie, men lie, numbers don’t.
I’ll take Tua.
