A Michigan man allegedly filed his teeth into points, tied a 20-year-old woman to a bed, raped her and threatened to rip her throat out if she tried fleeing the locked room.

Michael Barajas, 36, has been charged after allegedly tying the woman to a mattress in a room with locked doors and screwed-shut windows in a dilapidated home in Genesee County, Michigan, according to a Facebook video posted by Genesee County Sheriff Christopher Swanson. Multiple men in the room raped her over the course of three weeks, Swanson said. (RELATED: REPORT: Four Men Sentenced For Drugging And Raping Each Others Wives In Singapore)

The first time the woman tried escaping, she ran out of an open door and the perpetrators shot at her and forced her to return, according to Swanson. The second time, she ran away, but her captors were able to catch her and drag her back inside. The third time, the victim had a medical emergency, and the nurses at Hurley Medical Center recognized her symptoms. She was rescued on Dec. 8, Swanson said.

“Barajas threatened that if she didn’t do everything that he told her to do, that he would bite her neck and rip out her throat,” Swanson said, adding that “grooming started this tragedy.”

On the week of Thanksgiving, a 20-year-old victim was kicked out of her house and had not had a shower in several days when the perpetrator offered her a shower, which she accepted.

Barajas also made the victim refer to him as “her daddy,” Swanson said.

The investigation remains open, and multiple suspects are still at-large. Barajas is in jail on a $250,000 bond and is facing multiple felony charges, including home invasion, kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct.
