A skier collapsed and died Tuesday morning while skiing at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah, local news outlet Fox13 reported.

Members of the Deer Valley Ski Patrol provided first aid to the man and transported him down the trail to an ambulance outside the resort, Fox13 continued. Park City Fire District paramedics helped the ski patrol before pronouncing the man dead while he was in the ambulance, Deer Valley Resort told Fox13.
The man’s name has not been made public, and the cause of his death remains unknown, according to the outlet.
“We extend our deepest sympathy to the guest’s family,” the resort said in a statement cited by Fox13. “Thank you to our ski patrol and local emergency responders for your care and assistance.”
The Homeward Bound trail is a “green circle” run. It starts at an elevation of 9,247 feet and has a vertical drop of 1,053 feet, according to a map of the resort.
An 18-year-old girl died Dec. 10 at Deer Valley Ski Resort while tubing on the mountain during closed hours, KSL News reported. She hit one of the towers of the Silver Strike Express chairlift and was pronounced dead at the University Hospital trauma center.
