The Denver Broncos have reportedly contacted their first sexy candidate for their vacant head coaching position.

Jim Harbaugh nearly led his Michigan Wolverines to the college football national championship, and now he’s being contacted by the National Football League‘s (NFL) Denver Broncos, according to a report from Pro Football Talk. The Broncos fired their head coach, Nathaniel Hackett, on Dec. 26.

Harbaugh said in February 2022 that he interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings about their head coaching spot. But after a deal didn’t get done, Harbaugh said he had no more interest in entertaining NFL positions.

Harbaugh has talked about winning a Super Bowl in the past, and if he did decide to go in that direction, whatever NFL team interested in his services would have to pay a buyout fee of $3 million.

I’m telling you right now: Jim Harbaugh isn’t leaving the University of Michigan, and he sure as hell isn’t leaving for the Denver Broncos.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s impossible for Harbaugh to leave his alma mater, but if he does go to the NFL, it would have to be an absolutely sexy and enticing situation — we’re talking about prime location, a talented roster. The proposal is going to have to pop. (RELATED: NFL Head Coach Left Stunned When He Finds Out His Team Could Be Eliminated)

Not only is Harbaugh making millions at Michigan and not only does he have them in the national championship picture now, but he’s treated like royalty in Ann Arbor. The only way he’s leaving is if it’s one of those truly “too good to pass up” offers, and not many teams are going to be able to pull that off.

We knew Denver was going to be aggressive, and I don’t blame them, but Harbaugh isn’t leaving Michigan for them.
