Ime Udoka has another gig!

After being let go by the Boston Celtics for having an alleged inappropriate relationship in the workplace before his season started, Ime Udoka reportedly has a new head coaching job with the Houston Rockets.

Rumors have been flying that Udoka was going to eventually end up with the Rockets after they fired Stephan Silas after another terrible season. In 236 games over the past three seasons, Silas put up a 59-177 record.

Houston had consultations with both the NBA and Celtics about what happened with Udoka being ousted from the Boston franchise, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The Rockets reportedly didn’t mind what they heard, with Wojnarowski reporting they “moved fairly quickly” in getting a deal done.

“Udoka and GM Rafael Stone kept talking on job. Both sides had some strong options in the marketplace but a deal got done in the last 24 hours to land Udoka with the Rockets,” tweeted Wojnarowski.

Originally, the Celtics handed Udoka a year-long suspension for the 2022-23 NBA campaign after they found that an alleged relationship with a female staff member “was considered to be a violation of the organization’s guidelines.”

I do love how the Houston Rockets didn’t give a single flip about what happened with the alleged scandal involving Ime Udoka and quickly scooped him up as their next head coach.

Plus, it sounds like it wasn’t that bad with how Houston operated with this whole ordeal. (RELATED: Atlanta Hawks’ Dejounte Murray Bumps Into Referee After Game 4 Loss To Boston Celtics)

I can dig it, H-Town. I can dig it.
