Disgraced former Democratic New York congressman Anthony Weiner gave an absurdly icky interview Wednesday with NewsNation.

Weiner is best known for a series of sex scandals that destroyed his family, marriage and political career. One of those scandals landed Weiner in federal prison in 2017 for sending lurid texts to a 15-year-old girl. But for some reason, Weiner was given a radio show after he was released early from prison.

During his interview with NewsNation’s Dan Abrams, Weiner was asked whether he’s put his grotesque behavior toward women and children behind him. “Well so long as your name is Weiner, and you have a sex scandal in your background, it’s going to be catnip for the New York Post to make headlines, but I’ve got a lot of blessings, I think I’ve paid my debt to society, I’m grateful to the folks at WABC who put me on the air,” he replied.

Considering how Weiner’s behavior ruined his marriage and has probably made life very difficult for his immediate family and children, it’s pretty disgusting that he still wants to be in the public eye. He basically credits his popularity to his past behavior and “click-bait” namesake, which feels profoundly weird. (RELATED: We’re Legitimately Wondering What Kind Of Compromising Material Hillary Clinton Has On Apple CEO Tim Cook)

In another hilarious twist, Weiner was also asked whether he’d consider running for office again. “Well if … the thing is over the course of time since I left office in 2011, I use to be considered a fairly you know, mainstream Democrat, but now as the party has kind of … well, I don’t think I could get elected in New York City anymore,” he responded.

My brother in Christ … no one would vote for you because you’re a bad politician, a bad husband, and a bad father (in my opinion). The fact extremist lefties wouldn’t even vote for you has nothing to do with their progressive ideologies. It’s because you’re gross, and you give them the ick.
