A deadly shooting occurred late Thursday in Colerain Township due to a neighborly dispute, local reports say.

Colerain Township Police arrived at the scene on Newmarket Drive on Thursday night, where they found 44-year-old Craig Cain and pronounced him dead, according to local outlet FOX19. The police department received a 911 call about an argument that started because someone had been “touching” a member of the caller’s family.

Another 911 caller said they heard shouting and fighting down the street and that someone said “put one in me, put one in me,” followed by “two gunshots,” FOX19 reported.

The suspected shooter was cooperative with authorities at the scene, a police spokesperson said, according to the outlet. So far, no charges have been filed. (RELATED: Police Arrest And Charge Three Men In Shooting Of 9-Year-Old Girl)
