Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson voiced some issues on Sunday about the skin tone of his newly unveiled wax sculpture.
Johnson responded to reactions to his wax clone, agreeing that its skin color was too light, according to TMZ. The actor reposted a video of someone “roasting” the sculpture to his Instagram account.

“For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvement – starting with my skin color,” Johnson wrote in the caption of the post.
Johnson was amused by the video, saying he “legit belly laughed at this.” He quoted the man in the video, who asked, “is this how y’all felt when you lost the Little Mermaid?” Disney released a live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid” in May, in which Ariel, traditionally depicted with pale skin and red hair, was “race-swapped” and depicted as black.
“They turned The Rock into a pebble,” the man reacting to the wax figure in the video said. “They done turned The Rock into a vinyl rock or something like that. It look like The Rock ain’t never seen the sun a day in his life.”

The figure will be fixed during the night and will remain on display until then, a museum spokesperson said, according to TMZ. The spokesperson also noted that Grevin Museum is looking forward to Johnson’s visit to Paris to celebrate the updated sculpture with some champagne.
