Last week was absolutely God-awful for me.

After a fantastic start to the season for me, I completely stumbled in Week 7, tallying my first losing record of the season at 5-8 to put me at a total tally of 64-42 (60%) — crap performance, but I’m still clinging onto that 60% milestone.

But honestly, I couldn’t give a damn. All I keep holding onto from last week is how my Miami Dolphins got massively SCREWED against the Philadelphia Refereeagles, but whatever, man. Y’all already know how I feel about that.

At least my fantasy team won again, bumpin’ me up to a 5-1 record on the campaign as far as that goes.

Other than that … pooh.

Needless to say, I’m ready to get to a new week.

Headlining my forecast in Week 8 is a bit of a sexy matchup between the 5-2 Jacksonville Jaguars and 4-2 Pittsburgh Steelers, with both over-exceeding expectations this season, and you guys know how much I love Trevor Lawrence … you better believe I’m game.

Up next, I have another matchup between winning teams, as the Cleveland Browns (4-2) head to Seattle to take on the 4-2 Seahawks and their power-poppin’ defense. Deshaun Watson should feel lucky he doesn’t have to deal with that this week being out with an injury, which also makes things interesting to see how the Browns hold up in Washington State without their QB, because their defense — ranked No. 1 in the NFL in terms of yards allowed — will have them in this one regardless of Watson being out.

Closing out my top three games this week is an intriguing contest between Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (3-3) and the 5-2 San Francisco 49ers, with my two factors being 1) the Bengals need to keep winning (and can get over .500 with a victory here), and 2) Brock Purdy is in concussion protocol and probably won’t play this weekend. Cincinnati NEEDS to take advantage of such a grade A opportunity. (RELATED: The NBA Is Back! Here’s Andrew Powell’s Forecast Heading Into The New Season (Preview And Predictions)
