Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis released new merchandise on Friday taking aim at former president Trump and attempting to lure him into the next debate.

The DeSantis campaign began selling official golf balls emblazoned with the slogan, “Ron DeSantis has a pair — he shows up.” The slogan serves as a direct slight to former President Donald Trump’s refusal to show up to the GOP primary debates. DeSantis touched on Trump’s absence Thursday during an interview on Newsmax.

“This is no time for foot fetishes. We’ve got serious problems as a country,” DeSantis said.

The Trump campaign took a swipe at DeSantis over his jab against the former president.

“Rob DeSanctimonious has been completely emasculated for wearing high-heeled man-booties and is now a political eunuch. He’s the last person who should be talking about balls,” Jason Miller, a senior Trump advisor, told the New York Post.

Another senior Trump advisor used a similar insult to attack DeSantis back in the summer.

“Not surprised Ron DeSantis is looking for a set of balls,” Chris LaCivita, a Trump senior advisor said to NBC News.

DeSantis has struggled since entering the 2024 Republican primary, and has seen his polling position drop in recent months. Major donors have also fled his campaign, forcing him to lay off staff. Republican rival Nikki Haley has seen her position improve in early primary states such as Iowa and South Carolina.
