“In my bob era, 1996,” Clinton wrote as a caption.

Young people on social media have started using the word “era” to refer to how they define themselves through different periods, according to Mashable. TikTok users have described the word as a “fun, easy, relatable way” to frame self-improvement or change.

The phrase was popularized when popular singer Taylor Swift was on “The Eras Tour,” which celebrated each album, or version of herself, as its own individual “era.” When commandeered by Clinton, the use of this slang rings as a desperate appeal to American youth. Social media users savaged the former secretary of state in their reactions.

“In my mass incarceration era,” one user wrote in the comments section.

“It looks like you’re concentrating hard on that flight list,” another user commented about Clinton’s facial expression.

“Before Epstein era,” a third person wrote with a laughing emoji.

“This is yet another failed attempt by her media managers to make #hillaryclinton appear human,” another user wrote.

Convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell attended the wedding of Chelsea Clinton, according to newly unsealed court documents related to deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
