“The View” co-hosts shrieked at Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asking at a recent press briefing whether President Joe Biden will commit to debating former President Donald Trump.

Doocy repeatedly asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday whether the president plans to debate his Republican opponent but did not receive a direct answer. Instead, Jean-Pierre repeatedly told Doocy to reach out to Biden’s 2024 campaign for the answer.

“She’s getting better and better, man,” co-host Sunny Hostin said of Jean-Pierre.

“You know, thank God she’s polite,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said.

“She was maintaining decorum,” Hostin added.

“She maintained decorum, but I just … you know … I think this is what I’m talking about. When this kind of sneer, ‘So what’s he gonna do?’ I mean just ask the question, man. ‘Is he gonna debate?’ She says, ‘Ask the campaign.’ Go to the campaign! What the hell!” Goldberg said.

Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin then said that if Jean-Pierre had answered Doocy’s question, it would have been a violation of the Hatch Act, which prevents government officials from discussing campaign and election details. (RELATED: Biden Campaign Refuses To Commit To Debate With Trump)

“That’s not her job to tell you!” Goldberg added. “Go to the campaign!”

Co-host Joy Behar predicted that Biden would “wipe the floor” with Trump in a debate and made a raunchy remark about Trump’s alleged extramarital affair with former porn star Stormy Daniels.

“On the one hand, I think that they should debate, that Biden would wipe the floor with him. Or Biden should just challenge him to pushups. Of course, the last time Trump did a pushup, he was on top of Stormy Daniels, okay?” Behar said, receiving a round of applause so sustained that she actually stood up and bowed.

During the 2020 campaign, Biden called an Iowa voter a “damn liar” and challenged him to a push-up contest after the 83-year-old man expressed concerns about Biden’s age and his son’s business dealings in Ukraine.

“But on the other hand, why does Joe Biden have to lower himself to even be on the same stage with this criminal?” Behar continued. “This 91 times indicted, sexual harasser, accused sexual assaulter.”

“Why? Why?” she demanded, slamming the table with her hand.

Goldberg asked why Biden should be obligated to participate in general election debates after Trump refused to debate during the Republican primary.

Griffin responded by arguing that Biden needs to debate in order to win over voters who cast their ballots for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, even though many of them have already committed to voting for Biden in the general election.

Hostin claimed that Biden “swept the floor” with Trump during the 2020 presidential debates, while Behar said Trump “can’t even put a sentence together.”

The first presidential debate is set to take place on Sept. 16 at Texas State University, followed by two more in October. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) came under fire for refusing to hold primary debates between Biden and his primary challengers, Robert F. Kennedy and Marianne Williamson.
