“Outnumbered” co-host Kayleigh McEnany stated Monday on Fox News that President Joe Biden’s campaign has hit a “conundrum” with Democrats as they attempt to gain ground with voters.

McEnany appeared on “Hannity” to discuss how Biden has been losing ground among key voting groups that Democrats have been known to secure. Fox host Sean Hannity questioned the former White House press secretary on her thoughts regarding Biden’s base “leaving him” and what his team should do at this point as the 2024 election grows closer. McEnany stated that while Biden is slipping within key groups such as Black, Hispanic, and young voters, she believes that he is also doing “poorly” with progressives at a rate “worse” than Republicans would assume. McEnany continued to list measures that the Biden administration has taken to begin reaching out to voters, such as having Vice President Kamala Harris visit an abortion clinic, making her the first in her position to do so.

“What’s really interesting Sean, I think if you took a look at the Biden internal polls right now, you would not only see him doing poorly among the groups you just named, which he has to do well among, but I think you would see a mutiny among progressives. I think it is worse than what any of us know. Because that’s the only way you explain the actions we’re seeing. That’s the only way you explain Kamala Harris going to an abortion clinic, the first vice president ever to do so. It’s the only way you explain a State of the Union that is fever-pitched, that is angry, that is red meat for the base,” McEnany stated.

“It’s the only way you explain a president who has been around a long time, who knows about hot mikes, who sends a message to Bibi Netanyahu and a message to progressives on Gaza by calling out Israel. It’s the only reason you have a White House that has a marijuana summit, which is what they had last week. They are hemorrhaging the far left. In an effort to get the far left back, they are pushing away Independents. So they’re in this interesting to pull-push conundrum, they’re trying to pull the progressives because they know they gotta have them, but I think they’re losing the Nikki Haley voter, the Independent voter, the soft Democrat in the process.”

Recent polling has shown that Biden has begun to lose support within key voting blocs such as women, young adults and Black voters as former President Donald Trump gains more ground for the 2024 election, according to a New York Times/Siena poll. The poll, which was conducted from Feb. 25 to 28, showed that out of the 980 registered voters surveyed, Trump and Biden were evenly split among women voters, with Trump leading among Latino voters, and Biden’s support from Black voters shrinking considerably.

Biden’s campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu was questioned in early March on why there was a shrinking gap between the president and Trump by CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, to which Landrieu blamed a “shift” among the electorate.
