An intense video shows a wild bear awkwardly getting out of a parked car that it broke into Sunday night in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

The video shows one individual, who appears to be a park official, shining a flashlight into the car. The official then opens the door of the car and then dashes to the front of the vehicle, video shows. A black bear emerges from the car before rapidly taking off. (RELATED: Pennsylvania Woman Suffers Severe Injury After Bear Attack, Recounts Horrifying Ordeal From Hospital Bed)

“Wow, he [the bear] is big,” one observer can be heard saying. The bear could be seen running into the nearby woods. “Now, go check your car,” the same observer says.

The Pocono Mountains is a four-county region that is known for its all-season resorts and scenic wilderness experience, according to a tourist website. The area is also known for its growing black bear population, which the Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates to be around 20,000, the Philly Voice reported. The Pennsylvania Game Commission advises that when encountering a black bear, one should avoid sudden movements while slowly backing away from the animal. Black bears rarely attack humans, the organization noted.

In February, a Washington homeowner recorded a large bear attempting to break into her house through a doggie door, according to KOMO News. “The video is completely entertaining, but also makes me a little worried about waking up in bed with the bear next to me,” the homeowner told the outlet.

One bear managed to successfully break into a home in Connecticut and consume the lasagna left in the refrigerator back in October of 2023. The incident was also recorded.
