Warren Sapp at Colorado?! … I can dig it!
We’ve been hearing the rumors for months, and it looks like things are official — Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Sapp is now a member of Deion Sanders‘ Colorado Buffaloes coaching staff.
Sapp, a legendary defensive tackle during his playing days in the NFL, has been brought on as a senior quality control analyst of the Buffaloes program. Back in February, Sanders confirmed that Sapp would eventually become a part of his staff.
Prior to the Buffs‘ season-opener against TCU in 2023, Sapp was in attendance at a Colorado practice and handed some of his wisdom over to players. Not much longer after that, it was publicly revealed by Sapp himself that he was planning on joining Coach Prime’s staff.

For 13 seasons (1995-2007), Sapp suited up as a player in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl ring with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2003.
Sapp also found himself in some trouble during his playing days.
In a 2003 game against the then-Washington Redskins, Sapp (who was with the Buccaneers at the time) reportedly knocked into an official, resulting in the Pro Football Hall of Famer being hit with a $50,000 fine just four days later. The NFL branded the fine as “repeated violations of abusing officials.”
And how can we forget the time when he ran through an opponent’s pregame warm-up drills and the NFL had to get after him for it? (LOL) (RELATED: Yikes! WWE Superstar Finn Balor Shows Off Absolutely Nasty ‘Easter Egg’)
