You might not like LeBron James, but you might want to appreciate him a little bit more before it’s too late.

And that’s because the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is hinting that retirement is close, saying he doesn’t “have much time left.” (RELATED: NC State’s DJ Burns Trolls Duke In Absolutely Brilliant Fashion After Leading Wolfpack Into Final Four)

Maybe it’s a mindset thing, because you sure as hell wouldn’t be able to smell a retirement from his performance on the court. Take his showing Sunday night against the Brooklyn Nets, for example. The dude was absolutely incredible putting up a stat line of 40 points, seven rebounds and five assists, and with his scoring, it came off mesmerizing shooting — from the field, the self-proclaimed “king” was 13-17, and from behind the three-point line was near perfect going 9-10.

Say what you want about the guy, but it’s some absolute swagoo stuff, especially at 39 years old.

With all that being said, Father Time remains undefeated and will stay that way, and LeBron is very well aware of that.

Following the Lakers’ win, he spoke with the press and a conversation of retirement got going, and while LBJ doesn’t know exactly when he’s going to call it a career, he knows that it’s right around the corner.
