Former Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg was sentenced to five months in jail on Wednesday for perjury, according to multiple reports.

Weisselberg, who was initially charged with five counts of perjury relating to his testimony in former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud case, agreed to plead guilty last month to two counts, according to The New York Times. Weisselberg’s sentence matches the recommendation given by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, according to NBC News.

The charges against Weisselberg come from accusations that he provided false testimony during a July 2020 deposition, where he said he didn’t know Trump’s apartment triplex had been listed on his financial statements with an incorrect square footage until it was reported by Forbes. Weisselberg admitted this was not true, according to The Hill. (RELATED: Appeals Court Sides With Trump, Reduces Bond In Civil Fraud Case)

When Judge Laurie Peterson asked if Weisselberg wanted to say anything, Weisselberg responded, “No, your honor,” NBC News reported.

Judge Arthur Engoron ruled in February that Trump must pay over $350 million in damages in his civil fraud case, plus interest. An appeals court reduced Trump’s bond last month to $175 million after he initially faced a $454 million bond to cover the judgement issued by Engoron.

Under Engoron’s ruling, Weisselberg was hit with a $1 million penalty and barred from “serving in the financial control function” for any business in New York.
