Thousands of dollars worth of high-end handbags were stolen in a late-night raid on a luxury boutique in New Jersey, according to multiple reports. Newly released CCTV footage of the theft shows the raiders complete their crime in less than a minute.

Four suspects smashed through the front windows of Nouvelle Boutique, Valley Road, Upper Montclair, New Jersey, in the early hours April 22, according to security footage released to ABC7. The masked men stormed through the store to the rear shelves containing some of the most expensive designer goods, stuffing them into trash bags before fleeing the premises in around 40 seconds.

The attack on the boutique appears to have been targeted, as the thieves appeared to be aware of where the most expensive handbags were being stored.

“They were in and out in 40 seconds. So they knew where to go. Obviously we were scoped out beforehand because they knew exactly where to go … We had just done a Tiktok — we normally don’t keep all of the high end designer bags together,” store owner, Arlene Carrini, told a local NBC affiliate.

The thieves made off with goods thought to be worth thousands of dollars in a BMW they had parked on a side street near the boutique. The police have yet to make any arrests in what Carrini claims is part of a larger pattern in the area.

“This is a crew that is going around, so it’s important to take your bags off the shelf and move them somewhere else,” she said to ABC7. (RELATED: Easter Sunday Heist Steals Millions From LA Garda World Facility, Authorities Say)
